Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the manuscript 3762 III of the Polish National Library, which contains a collection of poetic works by Jean Molinet, a French writer, active at the ducal court of Burgundy, during the second half of the 15th century. In the first part of the article, M. Staniszewska portrays the life and achievement of the court poet and official historiographer of the Duchy of Burgundy – Jean Molinet. Next, she moves on to describe her research on the manuscript, which comprised a detailed codicological analysis of discrete sections of the codex, and a discussion of its history. In result of her efforts, M. Staniszewska established that manuscript BN 3762 III comprises an unknown in historical literature redaction of Molinet’s poetry, which was compiled during the fi rst quarter of the 16th century.
