Abstract

The article presents history and structure of the book collection of Jan Koźmian, participant of the November Uprising, emigration politician from the Hotel Lambert, social activist, bibliophile, and – after his wife’s death – a clergyman. Provenance material was analysed, revealing that the collection originated from (among others) the collection of Italian princes. Currently the Koźmian’s collection is stored in the Library of the Poznań Society of Friends of Sciences. It reflects divergence of its owner’s interests. The article presents its amount, contents, and provenances.
