The „Księgozbiór Świętokrzyski” collection of Marian Jerzy Toporowski (1901-1971)

The article is the result of the author’s registration works on the collection of the 20th century literary critic, bibliographer and librarian, Marian Toporowski. His short biography is presented, with particular attention put to his interest and strong emotional relation with the Świętokrzyskie region. The result of this passion was “Bibliografia świętokrzyska” (the Świętokrzyska Bibliography), exhibitions, and book collection called the “Księgozbiór świętokrzyski”, donated in 1952 to the Voivodeship Public Library in Kielce. This collection had been developed mostly in the 30s of the 20th century, but also in the following years. It consists of 177 titles of valuable, often unique texts concerning the region of Kielce. The books have ex libris. The author briefly presents the content of this collection.
