The author describes the library of Maurycy Koniar (approx. 1790-1848) and his family. M. Koniar was the Polish financier of Jewish origin, the leaseholder of government enterprises, who collected the library located in his Warsaw apartment at Miodowa street. The author characterises the collection in subject and language aspects (the family used mostly Russian and German languages). She also presented the ways it was used by M. Koniar himself and members of his family.
