The library of Marcin and Wawrzyniec Goślicki

Abstract

The article presents the history of the book collection of Marcin Goślicki and his nephew Wawrzyniec Goślicki (1530-1607), and their bibliophilic fascinations. The author prepared the catalogue of 19 preserved works from their library, with their shortened descriptions, limited to basic elements: author entry, title, place and year of publication, name, and surname of a printer, format. Descriptions are accompanied by information concerning provenance, supralibroses, and bibliographic citations.
