Abstract

The article presents briefly Mikołaj Liebenthal, a guardian of the monastery archive, copyist and chronicler, as well as manuscripts of his authorship or attributed to him. The main part concerns the manuscript IV Q 156 from the University Library in Wrocław, written – as the author states – obviously by Liebenthal. A codicological description of the manuscript and its content are presented in detail. Concluding, the author postulates to explore Mikołaj Liebenthal’s research workshop and to determine the complete collection of preserved manuscripts from the Saint Vincent monastery, to explore in detail the scientific community of this convent.
