The author, analysing literary and editing works, as well as publications of Fiodor Michajłowicz Dostojewski (ros. Фёдор Михайлович Достоевский; 1821-1881), presents his cooperation with editors of journals and almanacs, his work as journal editor and publisher, and book editions of his works. She focuses on financial matters concerning Dostojewski’s activity. This topic was related to the very difficult material situation of the writer, who suffered for debts, permanent lack of money, and for whom even the smallest advance payments from the publishers were important. From the other hand, frequent changes of editors with whom Dostojewski cooperated, discussed in the article, prove a permanent forming and modulation of the writer’s worldview.
