The author expresses his views concerning the most important issues connected with the time and place of the origin of the Holy Cross Sermons. The text points to higher cathedral and collegiate clergy as the addressees of the sermons, which originated from a monastic milieu, most probably of the canon type. Trajdos is of the opinion that the manuscript of the Sermons belonged to the Leżajsk house of the Miechów congregation of the Holy Sepulchre Order rather than to the Benedictines of the Lysa Góra monastery.
