Unknown books from the collections of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski

Abstract

The article concerns the private library of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski. The author aimed at founding his books, and emphasises that knowledge of his library, not only readings, can be useful for writing a monograph about Frycz's writing style. He also states that provenance studies of foreign printings from the 16th century are required for reconstruction of this collection. The text is annexed with the descriptions of six discovered books of A.F. Modrzewski.
