Abstract

The article concerns the 17th-century historians (Stefan Damalewicz, Jan Krzysztof Hartknoch, Stanisław Szczygielski), who used books as historical sources for their studies. They developed a kind of bibliographic descriptions, and often content analyses and meritorious evaluations of the books.
