Abstract

The article contributes to the studies on the Warsaw historians in the years 1939-1945. It is a part of the studies on the historians of the 2nd Republic of Poland, realised in the years 1983-1989 in the Department of Teaching the History and History of Historiography, University of Warsaw. It discusses the community of Warsaw historians, consisting of approx. 340 scholars and history popularizers, the demographic structure of this group and its activity during the war.
