The author postulates studies on the history of bibliological societies, originating in the academies and scientific societies focusing on historical and literary studies in the 18th centuries. As the subject ones, he also includes a major part of bibliographic organisations, library associations, and bibliological by the name. The author indicates inspiring, integrative, and opinion-forming functions of the scientific societies, therefore studies concerning these entities could significantly enrich the history of the discipline.
