Files with materials concerning the Polish publishing market in Lviv in the 19th century are being kept in the W. Stefanyk Lviv National Library. The Ostap Ortwin file (No 73) contains: correspondents of the Bernard Połoniecki Polish Bookstore, and the head of publishing department of this Bookstore. The Ossolineum file No 54: materials concerning the Władysław Bełza’s bookstore. Financial problems of Mikołaj Biernacki, partner of the Polish Bookstore, editor of the „Tydzień Polski” journal (Baworowscy Archive, file no 209, and Pawlikowscy Archive, file no 76). The value of archival sources and their research exploitation.
