Studies into the History of the Book and Book Collections
 

The quarterly (annual until 2019) journal “Studies into the History of the Book and Book Collections” is a national academic journal in the field of social communication and media sciences, of the Department of Book and Media History of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Bibliology at the University of Warsaw edited since 2006 (successor of the journal “Z Badań nad Polskimi Księgozbiorami Historycznymi” published since 1975). The journal publishes the results of research in the broadly understood book culture in a historical context.


All articles published in the journal are available free of charge.

 

  

 

The journal published in the formula Open Access, non-exclusive license under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0)

As of 2021, the journal is indexed in the SCOPUS database and ErihPlus.

The “Studies into the History of the Book and Book Collections” was enrolled into the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s list of scientific journals, receiving 20 points for publication.

Published materials include not only original research texts but also source materials, reviews of Polish and foreign specialist publications, as well as a chronicle of science events.

The editors do not charge for accepting articles for publication and do not pay royalties.
