Abstract

The article concerns the research elaboration of the New Testament published in the Polish translation of Jakub Wujek SJ (1541-1597) in Cracow in 1593, in the printing house of Andrzej Piotrkowczyk. The author analyses annotations, appendixes, references, summaries, and registers inserted by the translator by the text of the New Testament. Concluding she states that this edition was the first Polish translation of the Bible with research elaboration, prepared professionally, much better than those offered by J. Wujek predecessors.
