Abstract

After 300 years since Jan Kazimierz the king death, the last owner of the Vasa book collections, it is impossible to settle the number of the collected books. The history of the book collection of this family was tragic - most of them have been lost, destroyed, or dispersed. Nevertheless, the author attempts to the reconstruction of what has survived until nowadays. However, she is aware that is not entirely relevant. The attempt of reconstruction is based on the preserved books and information about books from the researchers (without the possibility of verification of the information).
