Bibliography of works about the Warsaw University

Abstract

The article describes works on the bibliography of writings concerning the University of Warsaw, initiated by Prof. Barbara Bieńkowska in the 60s. of the 20th century. These works focused firstly on the post-war period (1945-1965), planning a retrospective bibliography for the years 1816-1939 and simultaneous elaboration of the current one. The author discusses in details selection of materials, the structure and descriptions in the bibliography, as well as indexes.
